Yesenin was born in the village of Konstantinovo in the Kuzminsky volost of the Ryazan district of the Ryazan province, in a peasant family. Father - Alexander Nikitich Yesenin (1873-1931), mother - Tatiana Fyodorovna Titova (1875-1955). Sisters - Catherine (1905-1977), Alexandra (1911-1981).
In 1904 Yesenin went to the Constantine Zemstvo School, after which, in 1909, he began his studies in the parochial, second-class teacher's school now the museum of S. Esenin) in Spas-Klepik.
At the end of the school, in the autumn of 1912 Yesenin left the house, after arriving in Moscow, worked in a butcher's shop, and then - in the printing house ID Sytin.
In 1913 he entered as an auditor at the Historical and Philosophical Department at the Moscow City People's University named after AL Shanyavsky. He worked in the printing house, was friendly with the poets of the Surikov Literary and Music Circle [6].
